From start to finish, we involve you and your ideas. Room 62 ‘s owner and designer, Ted Amell, has been creating high-end custom steel structures for decades. He will work with you to make the perfect outdoor shade structure for your space. Ted will contact you to schedule a meeting and discuss your needs and ideas. Ted’s 30+ years of experience designing custom steel structures is handy as he can recommend unique design options. Ted will create sketches for you to review and fine-tune the design with you to make the specifications for fabrication.
Expert Fabrication
Our steel fabrication studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico, contains all of the equipment to fabricate your new backyard shade structure in-house. Unlike other companies who outsource fabrication, your one-of-a-kind piece will be designed and made by Ted Amell at Room 62. This allows us to ensure the quality is up to our top standards.

Freight shipping is included in the price of each custom-commissioned outdoor shade structure. We ship to the continental United States and also to Canada.
Professional Assembly & Installation Required
Our outdoor shade structures require a contractor to install them. We will work with your contractor to ensure a perfect and secure fit. We offer custom installation services in New Mexico for an additional charge.
